But I love the fall season so much and want to make it last as long as possible (even if the weather does not always agree). Set The Scene
The seasonal décor at Target is always on trend. I love how affordable the pieces are, making it easy to update our home for fall. An easy way to change up your summer table and transition to fall is with textures and colors. I added a plaid tablecloth with orange tones. Pumpkins are my favorite way to decorate for fall, I love using bowl filler as scatter on the table. This vessel and these leaves made for the perfect centerpiece. As the season changes so does the trend with wood. These mini wooden boards are perfect for fall and they were only $5 each! I will be using these for personal charcuterie boards and more. They worked so well for our hot cocoa boards. This serving board is not too big and perfect for family nights. The pumpkin mugs and bowls upped the cute factor! I couldn’t decide if I liked the white or rust colored pumpkins more, so I mixed and matched.
Ambiance goes beyond the table setting. We strung café lights around our backyard last fall and love the glow it offers at night. The kids love being introduced to the classics and there is no better way to play the classics than on a record player. Hot Cocoa Toppings
Target’s Good & Gather line had everything we needed to make our hot cocoa boards. We even had a little taste test to see which flavor we all loved most. The kids’ favorite was the sea salt caramel, mine was double chocolate and Rob’s was pumpkin spice. We topped off the hot cocoas with whipped cream, marshmallows, chocolate chips, cookies and I added some chocolate covered nuts. The kids loved their boards and had so much fun listening to music and drinking their hot cocoa. Love that we can continue this tradition for years to come and without spending a lot of money!
